We are a cut-make-trim subcontractor for other textile companies. Automatic cutting, heat bonding, sewing and packing all happen in one factory, with a production plan updated every day.

Route card
Six stages, one site
Every lot follows the same route through the factory. Nothing is subcontracted between stages: what arrives as a cutting plan leaves packed, inspected and ready to ship.

Intake
Cutting plan, tech pack and materials are checked on arrival. Anything missing is flagged before the order goes into production.

Automatic cutting
Lectra automatic cutting straight from your file. If the plan changes, the edit is digital and cutting resumes without delay.
- 03Stage 3/6
Sorting and inspection
Cut parts are inspected, sorted and bundled by size and colour before they go to the lines.
- 04Stage 4/6
Laser, transfers and bonding
Heat transfers, laser cutting and heat-bonded tapes and reinforcements, as specified in the tech pack.

Sewing
Two sewing lines with teams experienced in technical knitwear.

Inspection and packing
Final piece-by-piece quality control, packing, and a packing list ready for dispatch.

Manuel Lopes Martins was founded in 1980 in Carreira, Barcelos, as a cut-make-trim garment manufacturer. More than four decades later it is still family-run, now with over 40 people and two production lines.
Over the years we have kept investing in equipment: automatic cutting, heat-bonding machines and transfer application. Today we take a cutting plan and a tech pack and return finished goods ready to ship.
